At Scunthorpe, last night, Scunthorpe gave a trial to a Crowle youth at centre-forward, named Harvey. There were under 3,000 present, and the
game was played under miserable conditions, a cold rain falling all the time. Leeds were the first to score, but the superioity of the home team was
most marked. A weak clearance by Atkinson, who otherwise played a fine game, gave Mason a chance at the end of fourteen minutes. After twenty-
eight minutes Lemons equalised, and in less than another minute Butler, who was injured, broke away and score a brilliant goal Scunthorpe's third
goal was scored from a centre by Butler, Lemons heading through six minutes before the change of ends. For the greatest part of the second half
Leeds were penned in their own half. Three minutes from the end, however, Butler scored for them from a penalty, Robson having handled
